Senior Residential Facility in Bedford, Ohio

COMMUNITY Updates

DECEMBER 5, 2023

Dear Light of Hearts Villa Community,
Welcome, December! Can you believe we’ve arrived already? Our halls are adorned with festive delights, and we’re fully immersed in the delightful spirit of the season. Exciting celebrations await both our staff and residents this month, promising a period filled with joy, camaraderie, and enjoyment!
COVID-19 Updates
In the past month, we had our most severe spread of Covid-19 to date within our community. I’m happy to report that it has subsided. Our quick response in halting activities and dining to limit the spread really did the trick but in total we had 21 residents and 5 staff members test positive. It certainly goes to show that the virus is still very much present so we have begun the mandatory mask wearing for staff and visitors again. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in this matter. As demonstrated, the virus can spread rapidly, so we are committed to doing our utmost to ensure everyone’s safety, especially during this cold weather season.
General Updates

With the festive holiday season upon us, we invite you to consider reserving one of our rooms for a family gathering with your loved ones. To make arrangements, kindly reach out to Anne Messer at anne.messer@lightofheartsvilla.org or call 440.232.1991 ext. 514. You can enjoy the use of one of our room spaces for up to two hours, free of charge.

A gentle reminder: our staff members are unable to accept individual gifts from residents and their family members. If you wish to show your appreciation for our staff, you can do so by providing cookies, holiday gifts, or food for the entire team (including 60 dedicated members on any given day).
I find it hard to believe that the upcoming month marks the arrival of 2024, coincidentally the 35th anniversary of Light of Hearts Villa. We have some truly special plans for this significant year, so please stay tuned.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making our #WeGiveCatholic/Giving Tuesday campaign the most successful it has ever been! The results continue to astonish us, and we enter this Christmas season with an abundance of gratitude. While it’s our privilege to care for these seniors, we recognize that it truly takes a village, and ours is a strong one that we deeply appreciate.
Wishing you and your loved ones a beautiful Christmas season! May we take this time to reflect on the birth of Jesus and all that He has done for our lives.
With gratitude and care,

Breanne Cavileer, LNHA, CDP
