With over three decades of nursing experience, Donna brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role as the Director of Nursing (DON) at Light of Hearts Villa (LOHV). Her journey in nursing began with an associate’s degree in applied science: nursing, followed by RN licensure in July of 1993. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to the elderly population in various settings.

Prior to joining LOHV, she navigated through a spectrum of roles and challenges within long-term care and skilled/rehabilitation facilities. From tending to critically ill residents in skilled acute care settings to serving as a wound care nurse, admission nurse, MDS coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), and ultimately Director of Nursing, she has acquired a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of the complexities of elder care.

Donna’s journey also led her to exciting ventures outside of nursing, including establishing and running her own DJ/Karaoke business during the 1990s and 2000s. Even today, she finds joy in music and Karaoke, alongside indulging in thrilling medical mystery books during her downtime.

Working at the Villa has been the pinnacle of her career. Stepping into the building, one can instantly sense the spiritual connection and the genuine atmosphere of care and love. As the DON, she is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of their residents, and each day brings new rewards and challenges that inspire her to strive for excellence.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she is a proud mother of two daughters and a doting grandmother to three grandchildren who keep her active and young at heart. Through her multifaceted experiences and unwavering dedication, she continues to find fulfillment in her role as a caregiver and leader in the nursing community.
