Light of Hearts Villa in Bedford, Ohio

WHAT PEOPLE are saying

– Dianne Stiver-Lang, family member of resident

Living this chapter of life my mom is safe, happy, and loved by many with each new day. My mind is at peace and my heart is full of love having my mom a resident of Light of Hearts Villa, I am truly grateful.

– Terri Thompson Davis, family member of resident

Light of Hearts Villa can truly be described as a hidden gem. My 95-year-old mother has been living at LOHV for three years. Unfortunately, she was not thriving in her home environment. Since moving to LOHV, she has been socializing, participating in the very well-planned and fun activities, attending Mass, eating well (the food is great!), doing better health-wise, and truly enjoying life. This is largely due to the excellent care she receives from all of the staff—both medical and non-medical. Every single staff member genuinely cares about the residents, and the residents care about each other. As a family, we feel truly blessed and are deeply grateful that my mom is being so wonderfully cared for at LOHV.

– Mary Jo Brett, family member of a resident

My Mother had early Alzheimer’s and was a resident of Lumen Lane. Living there brightened her last three years of life. Her apartment was attractive, always clean. All of the staff were extremely patient, kind , friendly and attentive to all of the residents. She considered many to be her friends. She spoke highly of Sister Regina, the aides, Dr. Samy, nurses, the women who did her laundry, cleaned, and Joanie who did her hair. She was much more social and enjoyed more activities than she had in the years living in her home. I enjoyed vising her there because it was such a pleasant cheerful setting.  I never worried about my Mom because I knew she was safe, cared for and happy. I am grateful for Light of Hearts Villa. The last years of my mom’s life were happy because of it.

– Millie and Ralph Pesta, Volunteers

My husband and I volunteer at Light of Hearts Villa, and it has always been a special place for us to help others. It brings us so much joy to see smiles on so many faces. There’s nothing like going home knowing we helped make someone’s day a little brighter. We’ve been blessed in so many ways, and we love being a blessing to others. Light of Hearts Villa is truly a wonderful place to be. God bless all who live and work there.
