Lumen Cordium Alumnae Mass of Remembrance
Though the halls may serve a new purpose today, the spirit of Lumen Cordium continues to live on through the friendships, faith, and memories shared by generations of alumnae.
Exploring senior living options can be daunting, but fear not – we are here to guide you through the essential steps to navigate the process. The array of choices includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation. Let’s delve into these options together and help you select the most suitable one for yourself or your loved ones.
Tailored for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, memory care offers a safe, structured environment with set routines to reduce stress. Staff members, trained to handle dementia-related challenges, provide assistance with personal care tasks and frequent check-ins. This specialized care addresses the unique needs that arise from dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Nursing homes provide full custodial care, assisting with activities like getting in and out of bed, feeding, bathing, and dressing. In addition to custodial care, nursing homes offer a high level of medical care, supervised by a licensed physician with a medical professional always on-site.
Skilled nursing rehab is an option for individuals in need of both medical and personal care following a hospitalization or due to a worsening chronic illness. This higher level of care is usually temporary and intended for those expected to return home or to another facility after a period of rehabilitation.
At Light of Hearts Villa, we offer assisted living and memory care services. Some of our residents do fall into the “independent living” structure, but our pricing model is the same as all of our residents receive the same tier-level of services. Other facilities may offer reduced rates for “independent living” residents.
In the journey to find the right care setting, understanding all of the options is crucial. We are here to support you through this process and provide senior living guidance for you at no cost.
