COMMUNITY Updates

APRIL 4, 2023

Dear Friends and Family of Light of Hearts Villa,
Happy Easter month! We have so much to be looking forward to right now with the season changing and blooms starting to pop. April is the month of reflection and we’re reflecting on everything we have to be thankful for, everything we’ve learned from and continuously praying for what is to come.
General Updates + Covid-19
In March we did not have any positive Covid-19 cases and are thankfully pretty status quo in that arena. We are still following the same directives regarding mask wearing and visitation policies for the time being. We will keep you updated in the months to come of any changes as we hear about them.

We have completed some facility updates including the addition of new pieces of art to the second floor of Lumen Lane which are all available to sponsor. Certain areas of the second floor are also set for renovations to begin in the next few months. Our technology infrastructure is also expected to be upgraded this year as well and those planning meetings start this month! We’ll keep you updated with more confirmed time frames once we receive them.

Closing Thoughts
A reminder to save the date for this year’s Light the Way Gala on Friday, September 29. The event will take place at the Historic Tanglewood Club in Chagrin Falls and soon we’ll be announcing an exciting raffle thanks to a generous donation from Elite Island Resorts, stay tuned!

Also don’t forget, our next Caregiver Support Group is on Thursday, April 13! We invite you and anyone you know to attend this free session. These bi-monthly sessions will be a safe space for community members to come together, enjoy some snacks and learn how to cope as a caregiver. With Easter being celebrated this month we want to remember that Easter is not just one Sunday. Easter is a way of life. It is a life where Christ is always at the center lifting us from the things that keep us in the grave and do not allow us to experience the life that God intends for us. As an “Easter people,” we know what it means to rise from the grave and experience life as God has prepared for us. May we continue to reflect on this beautiful truth year-round.
With so much gratitude,
