COMMUNITY Updates

December 10, 2024

Dear Friends and Family of Light of Hearts Villa,
As we wrap up the year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and engagement with the Light of Hearts Villa community. December is always a special time, and while this season brings joy, it also requires a continued commitment to the health and safety of everyone in our care.
Health and Safety Update

Since November 11, we have experienced an increase in COVID-19 cases within our building.

Specifically:

• 16 cases total: 5 cases among staff, 11 cases among residents (10 in Lumen Lane, 1 in Assisted Living)

To protect everyone:

• Staff are currently required to wear masks throughout the building.
• Visitors are highly encouraged to wear masks during their time here.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Your understanding and adherence to these precautions are deeply valued as we navigate this situation.

WeGiveCatholic 2024: A Tremendous Success!
We are thrilled to share the incredible results from this year’s #WeGiveCatholic campaign! Together, we raised over $114,000 including a generous $50,000 match by Mary Ann Kaminski in loving memory of her late husband, Deacon Robert Kaminski. This remarkable achievement supports the Sister Helen T. Scasny, SC Benevolent Fund, ensuring that our mission to provide compassionate care continues to thrive, even for residents who have outlived their resources. Thank you for your generosity and enthusiasm—it truly inspires us all!
Feeling Festive!

On a fun note, all of our Christmas decorations are up, and the Villa is looking wonderfully festive! The twinkling lights, beautiful trees, and holiday touches throughout the building are bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. It’s truly a sight to see, and it’s sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

As we move through December, we encourage everyone to enjoy the festive spirit while remaining mindful of safety. Our team is here to support you, and together, we will continue to make Light of Hearts Villa a place where love and light shine brightly.

If you have any questions about our current COVID-19 policies or anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for being an essential part of our community.

With thanks and love,

Breanne Cavileer, LNHA, CDP
Executive Director
