Senior Residential Facility in Bedford, Ohio

COMMUNITY Updates

JULY 11, 2023

Dear Friends and Family of Light of Hearts Villa,
Happy July! We hope you are enjoying this beautiful month of fun and sunshine. Our residents have been enjoying ice cream outings, patio time, live music and more.
Covid-19 + Current Masking Update
Last week, we did have a resident in our Lumen Lane Memory Care Neighborhood test positive for Covid-19 so staff and visitors have returned to wearing masks. Our wellness team are wearing N95 masks and all other staff and visitors are wearing the surgical masks. We did test the rest of the memory care residents and thankfully have not had any further positive cases pop up. Should no further cases arise, we will return to optional masking on Friday, July 14.
Building Updates

After weeks of renovating, the second floor game area is ready for residents and families to use. There is a pool table, puzzle area and a place to play cards or sit and socialize. You do not need to reserve the space, feel free to utilize it at any time! We are still working on adding additional games such as foosball and artwork to the walls. If you’re interested in sponsoring some of these new items, please reach out to Amy Huntley at amy.huntley@lightofheartsvilla.org.

Additionally, our IT infrastructure is in the process of getting updated so that we have better wireless internet services for residents, staff and visitors. We are hopeful that it will be complete before the end of August and we will keep you updated on that progress.
Closing Thoughts

We hope to see you at this year’s Light the Way Gala on Friday, September 29. The event will take place at the Historic Tanglewood Club in Chagrin Falls and you can now purchase your Tropical Resort Raffle tickets, event tickets and sponsorships!

This event is an important aspect of our fundraising so we can continue to meet the needs of our community. Thank you for supporting and spreading the word!
With so much gratitude,
