Summer is in full swing at Light of Hearts Villa, and we’d like to share a few updates from around our community!
You may have noticed our new front entrance sign! After years of maintaining an outdated sign that had become costly to repair, we’re excited to finally have a refreshed look welcoming everyone to campus. It’s a project we’ve looked forward to completing for quite some time.
We also recently welcomed more than 25 community members to our Vincentian Pathways Information Session and Grounds Walk. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the vision for preserving these historic grounds while creating a beautiful outdoor space for our residents and the wider community. Thank you to everyone who attended and continues to support this exciting project.
We’re also continuing to address a few ongoing facility projects. Our elevators remain a top priority, and we’re actively working with our service provider to improve their reliability. In addition, we’re still navigating repairs and insurance claims related to this spring’s hail storm, including work involving the roof and windows. Thank you for your continued patience as these projects move forward.
Summer at the Villa Family Social
Join us on Thursday, July 23, from 4:30–6:00 p.m. on the back patio for our Summer at the Villa Family Social! We’ll have food, refreshments and a chance to enjoy a relaxing summer evening together.

A Note from Our Dietary Team
We’ve noticed more families choosing to stay and enjoy meals with their loved ones, and we love seeing that. As a small gesture of hospitality, we’re now waiving guest meal charges for one or two visitors dining with a resident.
While donations are always appreciated, they are never expected…we’re simply happy to help create more opportunities for meaningful time together.

As the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine celebrate 175 years of serving others, we’re honored to share stories from those whose lives have been touched by their mission. For Jennifer Grogan, assistant dietary director at Light of Hearts Villa, working alongside the Sisters has been a powerful reminder of what it means to lead with compassion, serve with humility, and care for others with unwavering grace.
