As summer begins to unfold, so does the beauty across our campus. The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and the Villa is vibrant with life and color! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers who joined us on Join Hands Day to help plant flowers and beautify our grounds—it’s because of you that our home feels so welcoming and full of joy.
We also want to highlight the continued momentum on the Vincentian Pathways project. Each Wednesday from 1–3 PM, volunteers have been gathering on the property to help with clean-up and light landscaping—simple tasks that are helping pave the way for future restoration of this special land. We hope to add additional volunteer time slots soon, so stay tuned if you’d like to get involved!
As we look ahead to summer, we are excited to welcome new residents into our community. We currently have openings in both assisted living and memory care, and would be honored to care for your loved one or someone you know. If you’re interested in learning more, please don’t hesitate to reach out or schedule a tour here—we’d love to give you a tour and share what makes the Villa such a special place to call home.
Finally, we continue to closely monitor the Medicaid funding challenges affecting assisted living communities across Ohio. These financial uncertainties directly impact our ability to serve residents with the dignity and care they deserve. We’re asking our supporters to join us in speaking up for our seniors. As the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine celebrate 175 years of serving others, we’re honored to share stories from those whose lives have been touched by their mission. For Jennifer Grogan, assistant dietary director at Light of Hearts Villa, working alongside the Sisters has been a powerful reminder of what it means to lead with compassion, serve with humility, and care for others with unwavering grace.
