COMMUNITY Updates

June 6, 2024

Dear Friends and Family of Light of Hearts Villa,
Happy June! With summer upon us, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the warm weather and blooming flowers. We are excited to share updates about our community and remind everyone to take necessary precautions to stay safe in the sun. Please remind your loved ones to remember to wear sunscreen when spending time on the patio. We have reminded them during resident meetings, but we also want to gently remind everyone to stay on the pavement in the back patio area. The grounds around the pond are uneven, and we want to avoid any accidents!
Thank You, John!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to John Ivan who has retired after 6 years of service to Light of Hearts Villa as Director of Facility Operations. His leadership and commitment have greatly contributed to our success. Please join us in wishing John a happy and fulfilling retirement! We are actively working on a plan to fill his position and, in the meantime, are receiving maintenance support from the Sisters of Charity Health System.
Rare Bourbon Raffle + Light the Way Gala

The Rare Bourbon Raffle is BACK and better than ever. As we celebrate our 35th anniversary this year, we have 35 RARE bottles and our goal is to raise $35K to support our residents. That means selling 700 tickets! Please buy a ticket or two (or 10) and help us spread the word! Winners will be pulled on Monday, September 30 live on our Facebook page and winners will also be personally notified. Get your tickets here >

Also, keep saving the date for our special gala on Friday, September 27 at the Astrodome Event Center at St. Josaphat Cathedral in Parma. It’s a GORGEOUS venue and this event is bigger than ever before as we celebrate and honor the legacy of the Sisters who started it all… Invitations will go out this summer and ticket and sponsorship opportunities are available now >
Finally, our new website will be officially launching later this month so stay tuned.

Here’s to enjoying a wonderful summer on our beautiful grounds!
