Happy May! It’s the month of rejuvenation, when nature comes alive after the colder months. We’re gearing up to refresh our landscaping with beautiful flowers and more. Over the next few months, we’ll be making updates to our chapel and ground floor, so please bear with us as these improvements get underway. Plus, keep an eye out for our new website launching this summer!
The Rare Bourbon Raffle is BACK and better than ever. As we celebrate our 35th anniversary this year, we have 35 RARE bottles and our goal is to raise $35K to support our residents. That means selling 700 tickets! Please buy a ticket or two (or 10) and help us spread the word! Winners will be pulled on Monday, September 30 live on our Facebook page and winners will also be personally notified. Get your tickets here.
Also, keep saving the date for our special gala on Friday, September 27 at the Astrodome Event Center at St. Josaphat Cathedral in Parma. It’s a GORGEOUS venue and this event is bigger than ever before as we celebrate and honor the legacy of the Sisters who started it all… Invitations will go out this summer and sponsorship opportunities are available now.
We are delighted to report another Covid-free month and maintain an optional mask policy within our community. For those yet to venture to our second floor, be sure to discover our revamped Game Room, now adorned with fresh artwork and equipped with new additions like PacMan, skeeball, foosball, and more—guaranteed fun for all!

On Saturday, April 19 at 2 PM, families and friends are invited to bring their little ones for an Easter Egg Hunt across the Villa grounds.
Sister Regina Kusnir, SC, has lived a life of extraordinary charity and has been an integral part of Light of Hearts Villa. She helped coordinate the transition of Lumen Cordium High School into an assisted living facility in 1989. Since 2005, she has served as the director of pastoral and special ministries, where she helps address the spiritual life of residents.
