As the crisp autumn air arrives, we are reminded of the beauty of change and the excitement of what’s ahead here at Light of Hearts Villa. This season is filled with opportunities to gather, celebrate, and prepare for one of our most important fundraising campaigns of the year.

We are thrilled to share that our #weGiveCatholic Giving Tuesday campaign just became even more impactful. In addition to the Kaminski family’s generosity, the Manella Family has stepped forward with an additional gift—bringing our match total to an incredible $200,000. That means every single dollar given will be doubled in support of the Sister Helen T. Scasny, SC Benevolent Fund, ensuring our residents receive premier care even if they outlive their resources.

Because we are not hosting a major gala fundraiser this year, this campaign is more important than ever. We are prayerful and hopeful that our community will rise up and show extraordinary generosity once again. God is truly moving here at the Villa – through the joy of our residents, the compassion of our staff, and the incredible faith-filled generosity of our supporters. • Donor Engagement Gathering | Tuesday, October 7 | 6:00 – 7:30 PM
We warmly welcome anyone who loves LOHV to attend! Whether you are a donor, family member, or friend, please join us for this evening of connection. Together we’ll hear inspiring words from Sister Regina Kusnir, enjoy delicious food, and create space to share feedback, ideas, and dreams for the future. Learn more here >

• Trick-or-Treat at the Villa | Tuesday, October 28 | 4:00 – 5:30 PM
Costumed children will bring so much joy as they go door-to-door through the Villa, with residents handing out candy and sharing in the festive fun. Learn more here >

• Handbag Bingo Brunch | Saturday, November 8 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
This exciting new fundraising event is shaping up to be something special. A $50 ticket includes brunch, mimosas, and 10 rounds of bingo for the chance to win designer handbags. We’ll also have fun raffle baskets available. Every ticket sold directly supports our residents through the Benevolent Fund. Learn more here >
