Hello September! Gala month has arrived, and as summer winds down, we reflect on the beauty and blessings that enrich our vibrant community. From our lush grounds to the engaging life enrichment activities, we continue to thrive together.
Covid-19 Updates
Last month, we experienced a few cases of Covid-19, with 3 team members and 1 resident testing positive. In response, we implemented precautionary measures, including mask-wearing for all staff and encouraging visitors to do the same. As we transition into colder months and observe an uptick in cases, we may reinstate mandatory mask-wearing to protect our community. We will keep you updated on any changes as we closely monitor the situation.
National Assisted Living Week
We’re excited to announce that we will be celebrating National Assisted Living Week from September 9th-15th. This year’s theme, “Inspiring Generations” is especially meaningful as we focus on the connections and legacies that bind us. Each day of the week will feature a unique and fun activity designed to inspire and bring joy to our residents and staff. We can’t wait to share the highlights of this special week with you!
Rare Bourbon Raffle + Light the Way Gala

A quick reminder that tickets for the Rare Bourbon Raffle are selling fast! We’re only offering 700 tickets, so be sure to secure yours soon. Winners will be drawn on Monday, September 30, live on our Facebook page, with personal notifications sent out as well. Get your tickets here >

The Light the Way Gala is just around the corner! Join us on Friday, September 27, at the stunning Astrodome Event Center at St. Josaphat Cathedral in Parma. This year’s gala is bigger than ever as we celebrate and honor the legacy of the Sisters who laid the foundation for everything we do. This event is close to selling out – the last day to RSVP is Friday, September 13. Reminder that residents and their family members can take advantage of the half-price ticket option at $75 each! Light of Hearts Villa Celebrates 35th Anniversary, Raises Over $215,000 at Light the Way Gala

October 3, 2024

Over $215,000 was raised last week to help support the residents and community of Light of Hearts Villa, a Bedford-based nonprofit senior living facility, celebrating its milestone 35th anniversary at the Light the Way Gala. The event brought together 350 guests on September 27 to support of the Villa’s highly regarded, faith-based, compassionate care provided for older adults.

Our annual Light the Way Gala celebrated an incredible evening of generosity and support, raising over $120,000 for the Sister Helen T. Scasny, SC Benevolent Fund. This sold-out event on September 29, attended by over 250 people, illuminated the unwavering commitment of the community to the mission of Light of Hearts Villa.
