COMMUNITY Updates

April 28, 2026

Dear Friends and Family of Light of Hearts Villa,

Spring is finally making its presence known, and with it comes a renewed sense of energy and joy here at Light of Hearts Villa. April has been a full and vibrant month, and we’re grateful to share a few highlights with you.

First, we are thrilled to officially welcome Kate Mach as our new Director of Admissions and Community Relations! Kate brings more than eight years of experience in senior living admissions, along with a deep appreciation for mission-driven care. From the very beginning, it was clear that Kate not only brings strong expertise, but also a genuine warmth and alignment with our culture here at the Villa. She will officially begin with us in mid-May, and we are so excited for all that’s ahead. We know many of you will enjoy getting to know her in the months to come.

Many of you should have recently received our 2025 Impact Report in the mail. We are incredibly proud of this piece, as it reflects the lives touched, the stories shared, and the mission carried forward each day at the Villa. If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, you can read a digital version here >

April has also been filled with meaningful moments for our residents. From lively rounds of bingo and engaging entertainment (including a very fun April Birthday Bash!) to creative arts and crafts, our Life Enrichment team continues to bring joy, connection, and purpose to each day.

Of course, we can’t talk about April without mentioning that wild hail storm! While we did experience some damage to the roof and exterior of the building, we are very grateful that it was manageable and is already being addressed. Most importantly, everyone inside remained safe and comfortable throughout it all.

As we look ahead to May, one of our favorite seasonal traditions returns… bringing the outdoors to life! Patio furniture will be set up, shade sails will go up, and our outdoor spaces will once again become a hub for gathering, relaxation, and sunshine. We are so looking forward to a beautiful spring and summer season together.

And as always, our doors remain open. We are actively welcoming new residents into our community, and there is no greater compliment than a referral from someone who knows and trusts the Villa. If you have a friend, neighbor, or loved one who may benefit from our care, we would be honored to connect with them.

Thank you, as always, for being part of our community and supporting the mission of Light of Hearts Villa.

With thanks and love,

Breanne Cavileer, LNHA, CDP
