Lumen Cordium Alumnae Mass of Remembrance
Though the halls may serve a new purpose today, the spirit of Lumen Cordium continues to live on through the friendships, faith, and memories shared by generations of alumnae.
We hope you’re enjoying a wonderful summer! July has been full of sunshine, laughter, and special moments here at Light of Hearts Villa.
Our Summer at the Villa Open House & Social was a tremendous success! With more than 60 guests joining us, it was such a joy to welcome current residents, families, prospective residents, volunteers, and community friends to spend the evening together. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, the food was absolutely delicious (thank you to our incredible Dietary team!), and the patio was filled with conversation, music, and smiles. Events like these remind us what a special community the Villa truly is.
As we look ahead, we’re already busy planning for a fun and festive fall. National Assisted Living Week (September 13–19) is right around the corner, and our Life Enrichment team has some wonderful celebrations in the works for our residents. We can’t wait to share more details soon, so stay tuned!
You may have noticed another exciting improvement around the Villa… our ground floor painting project is nearly complete! Thank you for your patience and understanding as we’ve worked through this refresh. We anticipate updating the flooring and getting some art installed in 2027.
Finally, our latest edition of Villa Voices has officially arrived! We hope you’ll take a few minutes to read through it and catch up on all that’s been happening around the Villa. Printed copies are available near the front desk, or you can read the digital version here >
Thank you, as always, for being such an important part of the Light of Hearts Villa family. Wishing you a wonderful rest of the summer, and we look forward to seeing you around the Villa soon!

As the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine celebrate 175 years of serving others, we’re honored to share stories from those whose lives have been touched by their mission. For Jennifer Grogan, assistant dietary director at Light of Hearts Villa, working alongside the Sisters has been a powerful reminder of what it means to lead with compassion, serve with humility, and care for others with unwavering grace.

We are thrilled to share exciting news with our community — Light of Hearts Villa has officially received a deficiency-free rating on our 2025 Annual State Survey conducted by the Ohio Department of Health!
